Damn it, billionaires aren’t supposed to donate their money to charity

Like Mark Zuckerberg plans to do.

It’s supposed to be confiscated through punitive taxation and redistributed by the all-knowing hand of government.

    If there are about 400 billionaires in the USA, what fraction of their wealth would pay for – oh, pick something – how about the military in our current wars and empire?

    There you go again, John, jealousy. Why are liberals so jealous?
    Fact is, why should they give the money to the government? I am pretty sure that charities do far more good that any governmen agency.

    Don’t be a ding-dong, Dan. I’m probably more authentically capitalist than you are. My comment is not about jealousy, or that we should capture the wealth of billionaires. My point is that the billionaires don’t have that much compared to government spending, especially for all the dollars that go overseas.
