Continuing their policy of “I Never Met A Tax I Didn’t Like”…

…the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel‘s editorial board suggests:

The best long-term answer [for supporting the arts in the Milwaukee-area] is a dedicated regional sales tax for arts and cultural organizations.

Of course, discount viagra illness they ignore the fact that the Milwaukee area already has an incredibly vibrant arts scene without using taxes to pay for it.

And that the private sector is already doing a fine job of supporting the arts by donating a record $10 million to Milwaukee’s United Performing Arts Fund.

What they should not ignore is the fact that art that is supported by government is soon controlled by government.

If you think the fight over the infamous Blue Shirt at the Mitchell Airport was ugly, best viagra wait until some bureaucrat can cut off a group’s funding anytime some special interest is offended by the content of a play, dance, or painting.
