There’s just not enough guns on the streets to prevent the crossfire. Once concealed carry comes in then…

    Oh, yeah. Nevermind.

Grumps it must be great going through life always being prepared to be a victim.

I am sure if we actually tried to arrest and lock up most of the people who are responsible for the firefights on Center street people like you would be screaming that we are unfairly targeting the Black youths and that we are putting too many Black youths in prison.

You do not want the citizens to be able to defend themselves but you do not want to actually try and make the problem better
(unless it involves some way of taking suburban residents money in the from of taxes and redistributing the wealth)

I love how you lump law abiding gun owners in with the gang bangers and hoodlums who are making parts of Milwaukee unlivable because we would all head to the north side of Milwaukee and just start spraying rounds everywhere. You cannot reason with people like you Grumps you are resigned to being a victim, well some of us have not surrendered our right to not be a victim.

Now I feel like I have to duck to avoid the crossfire on my own blog! ;)

Chris– The post was about crossfire. The more guns there are, the more crossfire is possible. It’s pretty simple.

You should maybe switch to decaf just a little earlier in the day. You seem…edgy. Justthe kind of guy that shouldn’t be around heavy machinery or firearms.

hee hee hee hooooweee chris you got zinged!

What ever grumps did I mention you are an asshole(elliot can I call grumps an asshole here because he really is an asshole but I would not want to over step my bounds here by calling grumps an asshole when I am not supposed to) the guns that people would be carrying are already there and no one is being killed by them because they are owned by responsible people unlike the gang bangers who are causing the crossfire.

one of my issues with I want to be a victim nuts like you Grumps is you always try to lump responsible gun owners in with the criminals. You ignore the fact that the people who would be getting CC permits already have the guns and are not committing crimes with them they just want to be able to defend themselves.

Grumps I have a vault full of guns I have been shooting since I was 5 I am 40 now and I have not committed one gun crime or had an accident with a firearm I think my caffeine levels are just fine.

Hermes tell me again why I care what you think?

  • 8. grumps  |  March 11th, 2008 at 7:45 am

Okay, so what? I’ve had my guns longer and have been shooting longer than you and so what?

Bullets are without conscience. Elliott made a comment about crossfire and I replied in kind. You seem to have cranked off into your little “poor me” world and started calling names. Your conflict resolution skills are weak, Chris and that’s one more reason that I don’t want people like you carrying guns into K-Mart.

In all the situations I’ve been where one gun was drawn, I never once thought that someone’s pulling another would do anything but make it worse.

The real world isn’t your little vigilante cartoon world, Chris. I hope that you can learn that painlessly.

I want people to be able to disagree here.

I like it better when the arguments don’t get so personal.

Mostly because I think the Internet makes it too easy for us to get ugly with each other.

It’s easier to write harsh words than it is to say them to another person’s face.

If we were all having a beer, I know you and Grumps would still disagree, but you’d probably like each other more than you think you would.

(Of course, I’d be hiding under the table the entire time…just in case. ;) )

You know me Elliot I would call him names to his face.

but as an example of his being jerk I put forth exhibit A

“The real world isn’t your little vigilante cartoon world, Chris. I hope that you can learn that painlessly.”

Grumps there is a major difference between wanting the ability to defend oneself and being a vigilante. You sir and I use the term loosely are putting words into my mouth that I have never stated. I have never in my life or on any blog ever said a word about being or acting in any way that could be considered vigilantism. What I have always said is citizens have a right to DEFEND themselves if someone tries to rob me or steal my car I have a RIGHT to defend myself and my property. That is not being a vigilante.

You see Grumps being a vigilante would imply that I actually cared what happened in Milwaukee even when I am not in the city and I do not. I just feel that if I choose to cut across the city on North Ave to get to a restaurant or business on the East side and I am confronted by the jackals that roam that part of the city I should be able to DEFEND myself and anyone who is with me.

Please explain how that is being a vigilante Grumps

See that is how your side works anyone who does not agree with you is a Nazi or a Racist or a Homophobe or a Vigilante
ignore what they actually say and just assume what they really mean

I have said more than once you have a right to be a victim if you so choose, but you do not have a right to make the rest of us victims along with you.

So stop putting words in my mouth Grumps and trust me for the record I would call you anything I write here to your face.

Oh and this gem “Your conflict resolution skills are weak,” made me laugh out loud Grumps you really do not know about what you speak. I have not been in a real brawl in years I am usually the guy in the bar that defuses the situation when things go wrong talks people off the ledge buys a round and avoids mayhem I pride myself on not putting myself into position where I actually have to fight(not that I wont if push comes to shove I will brawl with best of them I just learned it is a lot less painful to talk than fight) but there are certain people you cannot talk to who will not be reasoned with and once again the RIGHT to defend oneself has to be honored.

Grumps, You really need to stop looking at law abiding gun owners though such a twisted prism.

I really do not know why I bother with someone like you Grumps you are the closed minded one here the one trying to deny people a fundamental right.

I hope you can find some peace someday, Chris. You’re a very angry man.

  • 12. Chris  |  March 11th, 2008 at 7:27 pm

That is the funny part Grumps, you do not know how wrong you are. See what I mean you just assume you know things about people, when you really have no clue what so ever. I am very happy Grumps I have a pretty damn good life that I would not change. I am as far from angry as a person could get.

Do not give up your day job you will never make it as a physic or a shrink for that matter. Really you suck at it.

I notice you are not trying to defend your vigilante remark so I will conclude I won that point. Hurray for me

Look Elliot a whole comment and I did not call him a name once lol I am growing as a person.
