Brace yourself

February 12th, 2008

I heard a college student on NPR say that she was voting for Hillary Clinton because of her national health plan. The girl’s braces cost her $4, cialis buy buy viagra 000 and she thought the rest of us should have to pay for them for her.

And her vote cancels mine out.

Sigh.

Ugh. I’m so embarrassed for my gender. And my peer group. I really wish some of these people’s comments could be archived, and when they finally come around to conservatism in 15 yrs, they can look back and be equally embarrassed. Although, if that quote about being a liberal at 18 and a conservative at 40 rings true, what does that say for me? ;)

I spent 3 hours sitting in a packed ER on Saturday night before giving up and going home. There were people there who’d been already waiting over an hour when I got there, who were still waiting when I left. An elderly woman with a broken rib had been sitting there about as long as I had, and hadn’t been seen yet either.

This is what you can look forward to EVERY time you need to see a doctor with Hillary’s socialized health care plan. And that will be enough (as if there wasn’t enough already) for me to never vote for anyone who proposes any such plan.

Don’t look at it like that, Elliot. Figure that you’re canceling her vote out.

You’re the only thing standing between us and her orthodontia bill!

Thanks, Lance! Oddly enough, that makes me feel a whole lot better.

There are starving, sick kids in this country and she’s worried about improving her aesthetics on my dime. EFF THAT.
