Blacklisted instead of blog listed

October 28th, 2008

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s new Editorial Page Blog lists six blogs from the left and six blogs from the right in Wisconsin:

ON THE LEFT

ON THE RIGHT

Notice anyone missing?

I think they need to start a “completely off the board” category and stick me and Nick Schweitzer on there.

Actually, buy cialis shop I was a little annoyed that I wasn’t listed, medical but I suppose the Journal Sentinel (like Wisopinion) are sticking to their policy of not quoting a blogger that doesn’t really exist.

(Isn’t that existism? Shouldn’t I be eligible for affirmative action or something?)

I noticed that yesterday too. But while they have an excuse about you not existing… what about me? Wait… am I really here? Oh crap! Maybe I don’t actually exist!

Excuse me while I go have an existential crisis.

Blacklisted isn’t so bad. I’ve been on the list since I walked away from their CNI setup. It’s as though I don’t exist either – except for the two dozen hits a day from their IP.

Perhaps because you can’t count? there are seven on each side. ;)

Good point Tim… which means that in order for them to even things out correctly, they only need to find 5 more Libertarians. Currently there are no Libertarians on their blogroll, which definitely shows bias.

[…] From Where I Sit, who IS on my blog […]

I’ve no quibbles (I like that word) with most of them. I agree that a sampling of libertarians would be great. And, remove Badger Blogger and Marquette Warrior. One promotes hateful commentary and the other is loony.

    Holy Crap!

    How’d I make that list?

  • 8. elliot  |  October 28th, 2008 at 11:39 am

    By being a good blogger?

    And a real person? ;)

    “Tim Rock”,

One person’s “hateful commentary” could represent another person’s “free speech.”

(Oh, I almost forgot – You classify anything you don’t agree with as “hateful commentary.”)

When did I ever say there was a difference or that the hateful commentary should be silenced, Bruce? The old saw about the “marketplace of ideas” holds true even for despicable speech. I’m merely suggesting there are better conservative blogs for JSOnline to showcase. For example, Wigderson Library & Pub.

And anyway, do you have any proof, Bruce, that I label everything I disagree with hateful commentary?

    None.

What’s really sad is you are so willfully ignorant of that fact. You don’t like that — oh well.

btw: Your knowledge of logic needs a little work, Bruce. One doesn’t necessarily equal the other.

Tim, next time you renew your driver’s license, you gonna get the DMV to add the quotation marks everyone on the right always uses?

  • 12. Tim  |  October 28th, 2008 at 9:19 pm

I checked my registration — damn, they’re missing.

Now, JBVH will be targeting you as a fraudulent voter.

I wouldn’t worry about it. There is always next time.
