Best of the Wisconsin Blogs? Man, I wish.

August 14th, 2007

Another of my barely lucid posts was privileged to appear in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Best of the Wisconsin Blogs section last Sunday.

Every time I see my name in the Crossroads section of the paper, viagra sales for sale I just assume that Editorial Page Editor O. Ricardo Pimentel lost a bet and I’m his punishment. ;)

No offense to the fact that you seem to be featured rather often…

But their selection of blogs that they pick from seems rather limited.

I’m not sure how they pick, Nick.

Considering how often I’ve been critical of something in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, I’m shocked every time I see my name there.

    Hi Elliot,

I am a blogger and the VP of Marketing at the political/social debate site

We enjoy your site a lot and were wondering if you could add us to your Blog Roll.

Our site is owned and operated by Milwaukee-area college students and recent grads, and we cover a wide array of topics, mostly national and international.

I’m sorry to contact you through one of your posts, but I received an error when I clicked on your Contact page.

Bi Polar, Aaron, You know links are reciprocal?

Oops, I forgot all about the link request.

I have added you to the blogroll for the time being. But Fred is right, normally links are a “you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours.” Right now, you guys don’t seem to have any outbound links on your site at all.

I usually just link to people I find interesting and read; I don’t even know if half of them have linked to me.

It’s not required, Bob. It’s just consider courteous.

I originally used my blogroll as my reading list, but now I use RSS for all my reading. I have quite a few blogs on my RSS that I read regularly that aren’t on my blogroll and vice a versa.

In general, I just see my blogroll as a “vote” for a good site. That’s because so many web tools (google, technocratti, etc.) use links as a measure of popularity.

Actually, I just noticed that YOU, Bob, are not on my sidebar though you are a valued part of my RSS feeds.

    On you go, buddy. ;)
