March 11th, 2008

The U.S. Bowling Congress is leaving Milwaukee.

I really hoped we’d be spared this particular indignity.

UGH! Elliot…I thought the radio, TV and JS were bad enough with the puns. You’re better than they are! Just don’t let it happen again. :)

Puns, and Kryptonite, are my only weaknesses…and really pretty girls…and anything with sugar in it.

The business atmosphere in Wisconsin is totally in the gutter. I’m split up over the whole thing. They really fouled up this time.

    You’re right, Wendy.

But let me see if I can frame this differently: if we were in those other bowler’s shoes in Texas, we might think being the new home for the Bowling Congress would be right up our alley.

Actually the U.S. Bowling Congress was just considering leaving. Now that this post has been brought to their attention, they’ve gone for sure- to Brooklyn.

If I may wax philosophical, I think Elliot really pinned it down. However, I can’t help but wonder if Milwaukee is being unjustly (beer)framed into looking bad. Now if we could only find the reset button…

Not to go out of context here since the conversation is so pleasantly- punny…. but shouldn’t someone point out that in the many years Doyle has been govenor, we’ve watched more and more of our businesses leave? Miller is next. Great job Mr. Tax n spend gov.
