Am I the only one who doesn’t really give a fart about the ethanol mandate?

March 8th, 2006

I live in Wauwatosa.

Unless I’m greatly mistaken, discount viagra hospital even if the Wisconsin ethanol mandate is defeated I’ll STILL have to use this ethanol crap because of Federal clean air standards.

So remind me again why I’m supposed to get all worked up over this?

(Yes, I know I’m being self-centered, but as Tip O’Neil used to say, “all politics is local.”)

because this stuff actually makes the air worse. It will cause greater fuel inefficiency. It will raise the price of gasoline. It will wreck your leaf blower. And corn is meant for whiskey, not fuel.

You are slightly mistaken. The oxygenate mandate has been lifted; however, the feds are now mandating corn-a-hole in an ever-increasing portion of gas sold (I’m not positive of the percentages off-hand, but it’s a small percentage this year, and increasing to a huge chunk in 2020).

Technically, Elliot, if you’re talking farts, you’re talking methane, not ethanol.

Since He’s fictional in this manifestation on this plane of existence, I think elliot can talk methane if he wants to. With no mandate, and the oxygenate lifted, I’ll be able to buy gas in your area when I visit me Mum on the motorcycle. That’s why you should care! The nerve, trying to deprive me Mum of her onliest, bestest son!

See? William has given me a reason to care!

    Motorcycles for Me Mum!

    That’s a rallying cry I can get behind. ;)

umm.. you left out how you could support her onliest, bestest son. You wound me. sniff sniff…

I was implying support for your mom, your motorcycle, AND you, Mr. Clement. Remember, I’m working on like three hours of sleep. I know that’s about par for a truck driver, but it’s a little low for me. ;)
