A non-standard endorsement of a standardized test

I’ve always thought the fact that some universities have been de-emphasizing the SAT over the last couple of years was more about academia’s disdain for standardized testing than it was about the effectiveness of the test at predicting performance at the college level.
And it seems that I might have been right.
