  Your tax dollars support the police force. Some police officers are corrupt and deal drugs themselves. Your tax dollars support drug dealers.

  Sometimes, they’re just users.

  Be grateful that you have a government where openness is still considered a value and a goal. When corruption and waste happen in private enterprises, you hear about it far less often.
