Should I vote Green? Or just take a Walker?

February 1st, 2006

I’d like to invite the Cheddarsphere to treat me like the ignorant git I am.

I’m trying to decide who would make the better Republican candidate for Governor: Mark Green or Scott Walker?

Please outline the differences you see between the two men and why you think one would be the better choice.

You can do it on your own sites and leave links in the comment section or just do it in the comments.

Think of it… here’s your chance to actually influence an infamous “undecided” voter!

Scott Walker is made of pixie dust, and he tastes like candy.

Not sure I want to know how you know what Scott Walker tastes like, Aaron. ;)

Based on,.for example, Green’s and Walker’s stated positions on the proposed statewide ethanol mandate, Walker seems to have firm convictions, while Green appears, to say the least, to be FLEXIBLE; (read..linguine-spined!)

    You could always vote Doyle.

    Well, I tried.

People I vote for tend to lose, so I just might take you up on that!

And you just keep on trying, big guy!

I supose you could decide that Mr. Red Ink and Mr. “I cut Grandma’s Medicaid” weren’t good enough and do what the estimable Belle asks.

Hmmm. Odd that so many Democrats have answered my call and so few Republicans have.

Come on guys. By now, I expect that everyone has figured out that I’m not a “model” Conservative Republican, but pretty much the only thing I have in common with Governor Doyle is a willingless to balance my budget with money from Indian casinos.

(Unfortunately, I’m almost as bad at bingo as I am rotten with rhetoric.)

See, Elliot, here’s the proof you should vote democrat.

The conservatives don’t care enough to respond to your plea.

    :-)

I think that I will be voting for Mark Green for one simple reason. I believe that who wins the Republican primary will win the Governor’s race. If Scott Walker wins, that will leave one really big vaccumm in Milwaukee County were the likes of Tom Ament will likely regain the County Exec position. Walker has been very effective in Milw County in not raising our taxes and making the difficult decisions on the budget. (Eventhough the board has overridden him) I like those types of qualities in a politician. I am just afraid of a Tom Ament like pol coming back to Milw County.
