It amazes me that there are still people you can’t find by searching the Internet

Jeez, what’s a stalker to do?

Quick question:

Does From Where I Sit feel slower to you guys?

I’m wondering if all the additional security is sloooooooowing things down.

Hacker 3, Elliot 0

Well, “DarKMaSTer” has managed to hack this site three times. Let’s see if he can do it again.

OK, this stopped being fun

I lost all of today’s posts courtesy of our phantom hacker. I’ll try to recreate them, later.

Also, I’m going to keep this template for a bit while I try to work this out.

Sorry, for the inconvenience.

Still a little hacked

The fellow who hacked my site was more clever than I thought.

I THINK I’ve caught most of the security issues at this point, but I suppose we’ll see.

Hacked?

Thanks you all of you who tried to warn me that From Where I Sit had been vandalized by hackers.

Unfortunately, I didn’t see any of your emails until I discovered the problem myself.

I think I have everything back in working order. It seemed like a pretty benign attack, to tell you the truth.

I’ll know more after the next couple of days.

Again, thanks for trying to warn me.

This is why I’m in favor of smoking bans

A libertarian in favor of smoking bans?

Yes, because I believe smoking in public is a form of assault.

A belief which seems to be confirmed by a new study:

A smoking ban in one Colorado city led to a dramatic drop in heart attack hospitalizations within three years, a sign of just how serious a health threat secondhand smoke is, government researchers said Wednesday. The study, the longest-running of its kind, showed the rate of hospitalized cases dropped 41 percent in the three years after the ban of workplace smoking in Pueblo, Colo., took effect. There was no such drop in two neighboring areas, and researchers believe it’s a clear sign the ban was responsible.

In 2010…

…there will be a new Doctor Who.

But, everyone knows there’s only one real Dr. Who.

Considering the truly awful shape that the Milwaukee Public School system is in…

…does anyone else think it’s appropriate that the school board president’s name, Peter Blewett rhymes with “blew it?”
