Two reasons Republicans don’t want to ride the bipartisan bus on the stimulus package:

February 9th, 2009

1.) They have genuine philosophical differences with the Democrats on dealing with the economy.

2.) There is NOTHING in it for them. If they go along and the stimulus “works, cialis usa physician ” the Democrats get all the credit. If they go along and it fails to work, best cialis pills they provide cover for the Democrats. If they don’t go along and the stimulus is seen as working, they get no blame because everyone will be thrilled that the economy improved. The only way they can actually “win” politically is if they don’t go along and the stimulus “fails.”

They could very easily shove this through all on their own. The problem is they want ownership without consequences. In order to avoid potential consequences, they need the Republicans to come along and act as scapegoats.

Which is another way of saying what you did in the post.
